Avondale Falconry
Avian pest control specialists
Meet the heroes of our team. As experts in our field our birds have featured on Country File, Field sport TV, BBC local radio, TV and newspaper articles. Using the right bird for a given situation is half the battle, not every bird can chase a crow.
Brooke, female Harris Hawk
Just over 12 months old, Brooke learnt her job very quickly and has proven very effective in all scenarios from Gulls to Sparrows either in a busy warehouse or outside over the roof tops.
Spirit, female Harris Hawk
16 years old with a serious working attitude, if you have birds inside a building that refuse to leave she will serve the eviction papers. Famously seen on the BBC some years ago for running her own Pigeon clearance in the middle of Peterborough city.
Freya, female Harris Hawk
Bred by us in 2015, Freya was totally hand reared and has proven herself a very reliable member of the team and will happily chase Pigeons all day.
Thunder, female Saker Falcon
Another Falcon breed by us in 2015, has been the most effective falcon for close range roof top work against Gull and Crow. Has featured on BBC Country File. Unlike most Falcons she does not respond to the lure but comes directly to the fist every time.
Kizzy, female Gyr Falcon
Mother of Thunder, excels in the pursuit of Geese, Wood Pigeon, Corvids and Feral Pigeon. She prefers the straight of attack. She likes to ambush her quarry.
We also have Eve and Vernon two Harris Hawks that are currently in chambers preparing for the spring where we hope they will have bred producing 2 to 3 chicks. We will keep you updated when things start to happen.
